M. Scott Gordon
M. Scott Gordon is the founding principal of Gordon & Perlut, LLC, and holds a Bachelor of Science from American College of Switzerland (1984), a Master’s in history from University of Illinois at Chicago (1989), and a Juris Doctorate from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law (1995).
Mr. Gordon was admitted to the Illinois and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois in 1995, and he is on the Circuit Court of Cook County’s panel for appointment as a Child’s Representative/Guardian ad Litem; he is also a certified Mediator.
Mr. Gordon was appointed to serve on the Family Mediation Services Committee of the Circuit Court of Cook County by Chief Judge Grace Dickler of the Domestic Relations Division, and helped formulate the “Children And Teens Speak” program with the Court. In addition, Mr. Gordon volunteers with the Lilac Tree on their programming committee, and he serves as Vice President of his condominium association.
Dayna L. Perlut
Dayna L. Perlut joined the firm as an associate in 2010. Ms. Perlut holds a B.A. in political science and a minor in professional writing from DePaul University (2007), and a Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School (2010). While in law school, she served as a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Domestic Relations Division. Ms. Perlut was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 2010. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Dayna volunteers her time with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) and Domestic Violence Legal Clinic. Through CVLS, Dayna works as a pro bono child representative, representing children in divorce and parentage cases. At the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic, Dayna assists petitioners in obtaining Orders of Protection.
When not practicing law, Dayna serves on the PAWS Professional Board and volunteers at the PAWS adoption center.
